Trekking to the mountain with a French military helipad

This is an exciting, challenging, and thrilling experience as you take on the adventure of climbing Bamboo Peak. According to local legends, this peak was once chosen by French colonists during their occupation of Pù Luông as the site for a military airstrip. It is also said to be the location of a hidden treasure—a cache of gold buried in a mysterious nearby cave that has yet to be discovered. Only a few remnants of its history remain today.

The entire challenge will take 2 days and 1 night, during which we’ll camp overnight and have dinner at the mountain's summit. You’ll be fully equipped with camping gear, food, water, medicine, and the support of Tonny and a local guide. The peak is surrounded by a vast bamboo forest that makes it easy to lose your way, but we’ll ensure your safety and direction. Of course, the climb will also be reported to the forest rangers once you register.

Exploring Secreat Cave
Time: 8 am - 5 pm
According to accounts from the few locals who know about it, this is an ancient cave. Long ago, some indigenous people used it as a passage to reach Hoa Binh province. Its length has yet to be estimated. Inside, 200 meters from the cave entrance, lies a very spacious area. The path to the cave entrance remains quite untouched, requiring a climb of 50 meters from the ground.

This cave is known to only a handful of locals because it has been forgotten, with the entrance hidden under dense vegetation. The descent from the cave entrance is relatively complex but not overly difficult. It promises to be an incredibly exciting challenge waiting for you to conquer.
